what do you think is the mean thing missing in this reproduction of a reproduction machinery production animation.., comparing it to what we need to communicate?
Banksy is in my opinion operating like a 'guerilla' war. A guerilla war within art. It's an indirect criticism of Banksy towards the sweatshop (merchandise) and he got away with it.
Why are we using an assembly (re)production line? To show how art is made? To show what art is worth it? To show what reproduction is about?
looks to me like anartproduction/art-industry-skit.A parody. With interresting contradictions. Depersonalized yet very personal. Cheap/quick yet made with effort and care. Quickly made, no long thoughtprocesses - being analysed and looked at (art)historically. I do think the speed-openings are quite an essential part, pity if that will be skipped.
